Even though we didn't see him often due to the great distance that separated us, Ernest was always Ernest - sharp as a cookie. Whenever we did meet, it was as if no time had passed. His face would light up with warmth and joy, and he always had a captivating story or two to share - tales that brought laughter, wonder, and sometimes even a tear. Ernest had a way of making you feel truly seen and valued in those moments. What we will remember most is his smile - unchanged since his youth - a reflection of his enduring spirit and zest for life. That smile, so full of love and life, will remain with us always, a reminder of the incredible man he was. Rest in peace, Ernest.
